WORKERS LEAVING THE FACTORY (2020)

Workers Leaving the Factory, presented as a screenplay, offers an un-uttered response to the narration within Harun Farocki's 1995 film Arbeiter Verlassen die Fabrik. Operating on two principal levels, it firstly seeks to re-consider the intersection of labour, exploitation, violence, bodies, and their represetation. Secondly, in its form, it seeks to make present (or perhaps remind the reader of the absence: it is never actually performed) of uttering —and, by extension, working— bodies.
